There are two times during the day that you can get some really nice photos. Both sunrise and sunset, particularly in winter can really help you get some dramatic photos. The colour and contrast are better at these times than anything else during the day.
This morning as I opened the curtains I was greeted with the picture above and I raced off to get my camera and try to get a shot. You have to be quick as these moments only last for a minute or two. I missed the best part but still managed to get some reasonable shots to show you how spectacular the sunrise can be at times. All I would need now would to be in a better location, say looking across the water with a boat or some object in the foreground but at least you can get the idea. The only processing that I have done is a slight levels adjustment and some minor cropping. It is the same with wedding photography. You almost certainly won’t be getting married early in the morning, however sunsets can be just as amazing to help get some nice images that you can cherish always.
