Dan is a young man with a passion for the performing arts. Today Dan, a fellow photographer Tony Lomas and yours truly headed up to South Hobart near the Cascade Brewery and a nearby junk yard to get some shots of Dan. Clicking on the images will bring up a larger version.
Yes it was cold and here it was, 3 o’clock in the afternoon and there was still ice on some of the old machinery. Tony and I just snapped away, taking shots of Dan in several different locations, all in the cold afternoon shade, not much sun in South Hobart in the afternoon – brrrr. Dan, who was easy to work with, didn’t seem to mind the cold, but did manage to get some dirt on that nice white shirt of his. Tony was in pig heaven, snapping away with his brand new Canon 70-220mm IS lens, I just struggled on with my Sigma lens looking on with great envy. Tony is using his new camera and lens but that is ok, I can work with anyone, even if they are a Canon shooter-:). Below are some more images of the day. Camera specs: Nikon D700 with a Sigma 70-200mm lens. Natural light, no flash. – Peter
