The photojournalistic or candid approach to wedding photography is the style that most couples are seeking for their wedding day. This style of photography requires several skills of the photographer. They need the ability to predict the moments that are about to happen and the skills to actually capture them. Weddings are all about special moments and it is important for the photographer to capture as many of them as possible. It is often those small memories that bring a smile to our face when some time later we look at the photo’s of that special day. While it is nice to get beautiful photo’s of the bride and groom, as photographers it is up to us to be aware of what is happening around us and to look for the unusual things no matter how small. There is nothing staged about this shot of the flower girl enjoying herself picking up the confetti while guests were dancing all around. The photo is not of a high standard technically speaking but it still captures the memory and this photo will live on for many years in a photobook and bring fond memories to her family for a long time to come.
